Cafe, Lua

“Cafe Lua” – Port de Sóller, SpainTucked between two curving alleyways stands a lemon-yellow building, its terrace softly basking in the sun.  The people seated beneath the parasol seem to be in quiet conversation—not only with each other, but with the gentle rhythm of the day.

This watercolor depicts a real café in Port de Sóller, a port town on the Spanish island of Mallorca. When the artist first painted it, he had no idea where it was. Drawn purely by the charm of its form and the play of light, he began painting—shifting from still lifes to urban scenes with a sense of wonder.

Years later, he discovered its name and location: “Cafe Lua.”It felt as if the sketch had finally whispered back across time and distance.  For the artist, this was not just a building on a map, but a dream long imagined.  Now that he knows where it lives, he believes—one day—he’ll stand beneath that very parasol, and quietly say to the scene:“I’ve found you.”

Cafe, Lua

"Someday at Lua"

Lyrics by Eimei

【Verse 1】

I saw it once inside a dream,
A place I searched for silently—
A lemon wall, a pointed frame,
Bathed in light at the curve of a lane.

【Verse 2】

I never knew the town or name,
Yet still I longed to go someday.
The breeze would call, and I obeyed—
In every dream, I found that café.

【Chorus】

Then one day, the map replied,
And softly showed me where you hide.
I haven't been, but deep inside,
I know I’ll find you—when the time is right.

【Verse 3】

If every line I once drew true
Can lead my steps ahead to you,
I’ll keep that curve upon the page,
A door I left for some future day.
