About this piece
This watercolor depicts a section of my own garden, where I arranged handmade plant pots across the wall and filled them with spring flowers—violas, petunias, kalanchoe, and others.
By shifting the positions of the pots—like notes on a musical staff—I could create different harmonies of color and form.
Though I don’t recall all their names, I remember how they seemed to sing together under the April sun.
Each bloom felt like a child of mine, responding to my quiet gestures, while birds, animals, and the breeze offered gentle accompaniment.
This piece celebrates that quiet symphony, born from tending, listening, and letting each voice rise.
