After the Gathering - Red Wood Grove
Medium: Ink and watercolor on paper
Size: 15" x 11"

About this piece
I did not know that such a redwood grove existed so close to my home. In summer, it becomes a cool refuge, a perfect place for children. During summer camps, children gather fallen branches and build small tipis, creating temporary shelters for play.
After they leave, these fragile structures are quietly dismantled—
sometimes by nature, sometimes by the next group of children.
This painting reflects the fleeting structures built by children, and the quiet traces of time they leave behind.
